Dakota land acknowledgement

We live on Dakota land. The Dakota people lived here for thousands of years before European settlers arrived. For those of us who are not native to this land there is much to learn about this history.

The book that taught me the most about this history is called “What does justice look like?” by Waziyatawin, Ph.D. There are countless other resources. The journey begins with our curiosity. I’ll end with a question: Beyond educating ourselves, what can we do to repair the harm done to indigenous peoples?
